The report summarising the responses to the Ministry of Justice's consultation paper on Civil Court fees notes that 45% of those who responded to this part of the consultation agreed with the proposal that additional fees should be charged in longer trials in specialist jurisdictions that deal only with high-value commercial cases to reflect their true cost, and 50% disagreed. The report is available on the MoJ website. The consultation paper proposed the introduction of a system of additional daily or half-daily fees for longer trials in commercial cases with a pilot in one of the specialist courts in 2008.
