The Bill was introduced into New South Wales Parliament on 9 September 2014 and proposes to make several minor amendments to the Health Practitioner Regulation (Adoption of National Law) Act 2009 (NSW), the Health Services Act 1997(NSW), the Private Health Facilities Act 2007 (NSW) and the Public Health Act 2010 (NSW).  Importantly, if passed, the Bill will amend the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (NSW) to empower the Civil and Administrative Tribunal to make prohibition orders against formerly registered health practitioners.
