(1) Export Control (Iran) (Amendment) Order 2007 – 2170

This comes into force on 27.7.07. It implements certain European and other international obligations of the UK in respect of trade with Iran.

It amends SI 2007/1526 so as to provide for national offences, penalties and licensing provisions that are required to supplement Article 1 of the 2007 amending Regulation. These provisions are concerned with prohibiting technical and financial assistance in respect of military goods and technology.

The amendment Order is also in line with the general policy to implement EU Legislation in a timely and appropriate manner.

(2) The Iran (United Nations Measures) (Overseas Territories) (Amendment) Order 2007 – 2132

This came into force on 27.7.07. It gives effect in the Overseas Territories to restrictive measures imposed by the EU in a Council Regulation requiring the imposition of a ban on the procurement of military goods and technology from Iran and the extension of the asset freeze to additional persons and entities.

(3) The Lebanon (United Nations Sanctions) (Overseas Territories) (Amendment) Order 2007 – 2131

This came into force on 27.7.07. It amends the Lebanon (United Nations Sanctions) (Overseas Territories) Order 2007 in relation to the prosecution of offences in the Sovereign Base Areas of Akroitiri and Dhekelia in the Island of Cyprus and the Falkland Islands and South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands

(4) The Liberia (Restrictive Measures) (Overseas Territories) (Amendment No.2) Order 2007 – 2138

This came into force on 27.7.07. It amends the Liberia (Restrictive Measures) (Overseas Territories) Order 2004 by removing the prohibition in Article 6 on the importation of rough diamonds from Liberia and making the necessary consequential changes to the provisions on penalties and proceedings in Article 17.
