The FSA has fined Simon Kuun, director of financial planning firm MFP Group Plc, £75,000 for failing to disclose relevant information and for providing inaccurate and, in some instances, misleading information to the FSA in relation to the extent of his involvement in the firm. In the first instance, the FSA imposed a fine of £50,000. On referral to the Financial Services and Markets Tribunal (FSMT), the FSA's original findings were upheld and the fine increased to £75,000 as Mr Kuun also failed to be open, candid and truthful with the FSMT. The FSMT also found that Mr Kuun was not a fit and proper person to perform any function in relation to any regulated activity.
