The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) proposes several changes to the EB-5 Investor Program with the hopes of enhancing processing times and increasing flexibility. First, EB-5 petitions would be eligible for Premium Processing which renders a decision within 15 days with payment of an additional $1,225 fee. Second, intake specialists with an expertise in economic analysis would be able to communicate directly with petitioners to quickly resolve documentary deficiencies and other issues. Third, EB-5 cases would be decided by a Decision Board formed of an economist, adjudicators and legal counsel.
