FIA Europe responds on draft REMIT TRUM: FIA Europe, together with the Global Financial Markets Association (GFMA), has responded to the consultation by the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) on the Trade Reporting User Manual (TRUM), which will set the details for trade reporting under the Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and transparency (REMIT). They welcome the fact that a counterparty will be allowed to appoint the other counterparty or a third party to report a trade (single-sided reporting). They also request clarifications on backloaded reporting, the creation of a consolidated tape and data security at registered reporting mechanisms.
