The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EP A) has released human health benchmarks for pesticides in drinking water. Designed for states and water systems to better determine whether the presence of a pesticide in drinking water poses a potential health risk, the benchmarks also help interpret watermonitoring data. Covering 353 pesticides currently registered for use on food crops, the benchmarks identify acute (one-day) and chronic (lifetime) levels at or below which adverse health effects are not anticipated. EP A posted the linked table on April 10, 2012.
