2009 brings new forms for employers.
The 2009 W-4 form is now available at: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw4.pdf?portlet=3.
Additionally, effective February 2, 2009, employers must use the revised Form I-9 for all new hires and when their employees require reverification. The current edition of the Form I-9, dated 06/05/2007, will no longer be valid for use as of that date. Employers who continue to use the 06/05/2007 edition of the Form I-9 on or after that date may be subject to civil money penalties. The revised Form I-9 is available only as an informational copy at this point, and you can get a copy on our website at: http://www.bricker.com/legalservices/practice/employ/informationali-9.pdf. The revised Form I-9 should be available on or before February 2, 2009 at: http://www.uscis.gov/i-9.
