The SFO has announced that Innospec Limited (Innospec), a UK subsidiary of Innospec Inc. (a US NASDAQ listed company), has been charged in relation to corruption offences at the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court. The charge, which relates only to the UK subsidiary, is that between February 2002 and December 2006 Innospec conspired with certain directors, executives, employees and agents to give or agree to give corrupt payments to public officials and other agents of the Government of Indonesia as inducements in order to secure, or as rewards for having secured, contracts for the supply of Tetraethyl Lead to the then Indonesian Government.
