The last few weeks have generated a lot of cybersecurity “news”:  a new Executive Order creating information-sharing organizations, a new government center for collecting and analyzing cyberthreat data, and high-level expressions of concern about unbreakable encryption.  The strange thing is, these headlines seem to come right out of the 1990s.  For most of the proposals and initiatives are retreads of things first proposed or actually implemented during the Clinton Administration.  Just please don’t bring back the Backstreet Boys.
