A new government campaign has been launched to encourage workers to take action if they are not receiving the National Living Wage or National Minimum Wage. According to the latest figures, HMRC has more than doubled the number of workers receiving back payments, with £15.6m underpayments identified for 2017 to 2018. Since the launch of its online complaints service in January 2017, there has been an increase of 132% in the number of complaints received by HMRC. The campaign will run throughout the summer.
