The Central Bank of Ireland (the "Central Bank") has published:
- its draft Alternative Investment Fund Rulebook (the "AIF Rulebook") – the Central Bank’s rulebook in respect of the Alternative Investment Funds Managers Directive (the "AIFMD");
- its application forms - to be utilised by alternative investment funds managers and alternative investment funds seeking authorisation or registration pursuant to the AIFMD; and
- a question and answer document ("Q&A Document") – this sets out answers to queries likely to arise in relation to the implementation of the AIFMD and will be updated by the Central Bank from time to time.
The Central Bank has confirmed that it will now begin processing applications for authorisation and registration under the AIFMD upon receipt of the completed relevant application form which complies with the rules set out in the AIF Rulebook.
