Foreign resident CGT measures Bill reintroduced

On 23 October 2019, the Treasury Laws Amendment (Reducing Pressure on Housing Affordability Measures) Bill 2019 was introduced into Parliament. The Bill reintroduces foreign resident CGT measures that lapsed when the 2019 Federal Election was called including the measure to remove the CGT main residence exemption for foreign residents, subject to exemptions and a transitional period.
