The Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS) has published its work programme for 2007. This work programme sets out CEBS projects and priorities for 2007 under the following main headings:

  • Regulatory advice. Planned work includes a report on quantitative analysis of regulatory capital held by institutions and a report on the prudential risks arising from the conduct of commodities business and from the activities of firms carrying out commodities business.
  • Convergence of supervisory practices. Planned work includes a report to the Financial Services Committee on the implementation of the Francq report recommendations.
  • Co-operation and information exchange. Planned work includes a survey of implementation issues in the validation of AMA and IRB approaches to be delivered by the Groupe de Contact test project on operational networking and a survey of implementation issues on the supervisory review process.
