The National Clean Energy Summit was hosted by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the progressive think-tank Center for American Progress Action Fund in Vegas in August. The meeting attracted a number of high-profile politicians and alternative energy leaders. At the summit, General Wesley Clark (Retired), co-chairman of Growth Energy, introduced a renewable fuels road map designed to put the nation on track to create more green jobs (1.3 million by 2022), reduce emissions and help make our nation more energy independent.
