ESMA reports on interoperability: ESMA has published its final report on interoperability arrangements between EU central counterparties (CCPs) under the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR). ESMA wants to extend the relevant EMIR requirements to exchange traded derivatives and, later, probably also to OTC derivatives. ESMA renews Greek short-selling ban: ESMA has announced its agreement to an extension of the short-selling ban that temporarily prohibits transactions in any financial instrument that creates, or increases, a net short position on any of the shares admitted to trading on the Athens Exchange and Multilateral Trading Facility “EN.A”.
