Joint Committee of ESAs consults on draft RTS on MLD4 central contact point

On 10 February 2017 a consultation paper was published by the Joint Committee of the European Supervisory Authorities on draft regulatory technical standards, detailing the criteria for determining the circumstances in which the appointment of a central contact point, under Article 45(9) of the Fourth Money Laundering Directive (MLD4), is appropriate and the functions of the CCP.

ESAs consult on the establishment of central contact points to strengthen fight against financial crime

On 10 February 2017 a public consultation was launched by the Joint Committee of the three European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, EIOPA and ESMA) on draft regulatory technical standards in order to help Member States determine when payment service providers and electronic money issuers should appoint a Central Contact Point, with the aim of supporting the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing. The consultation ends 5 May 2017.

ESMA revised draft ITS on position reporting under MiFID II

A revised draft implementing technical standard on position reporting under the MiFID II Directive has been published by ESMA.This was originally published in December 2015, but since then ESMA has identified a number of technical amendments that it deems necessary for the correct functioning of the position reporting of commodity derivatives.

Joint Committee of ESAs consults on PRIIPs with environmental or social objectives

The Joint Committee of the European Supervisory Authorities, otherwise known as the EBA, EIOPA and ESMA, has published a consultation paper on packaged retail and insurance-based investment products with environmental or social objectives, following a request for technical advice from the European Commission in May 2016.
