From 12 July 2013 the requirement that at least one director of a foreign branch must have residence in Estonia, in a Member State of the European Economic Area or Switzerland will be abolished. However, if none of the branch directors has residence in these states, the foreign company must in addition to its address file with the registrar the Estonian address of one person, which can be used for delivery of procedural documents of the undertaking and declarations of intent addressed to the undertaking.
