Whilst recent cases are geared towards corrupt conduct of public servants, the ICAC is targeting the private sector as well. Just this month, the former president of China Environmental Resources Group Limited (a listed company formerly known as Benefun International Holdings Limited) and four others were charged with a conspiracy to bribe the former chairman of Benefun with more than HK$100 million in a bid to acquire a HK$500 million forestry project in the mainland.
