On June 5, 2009, China’s State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) officially issued two sets of procedural rules for the implementation of the Anti-Monopoly Law (AML): the Procedural Rules of the Administrative Authorities for Industry and Commerce on Investigating and Handling Cases Involving Acts of Monopoly Agreements and of Abuses of Dominant Market Position (Rules on Monopoly Agreements and Abuses of Market Dominance) and the Procedural Rules of the Administrative Authorities for Industry and Commerce on Prohibiting the Abuses of Administrative Powers to Eliminate or Restrict Competition (Rules on Abuses of Administrative Powers).
