On May 29, 2014, the U.S. International Trade Commission issued a press release announcing their vote to institute an investigation of Certain Non-Volatile Memory Chips and Products Containing the Same (Inv. No. 337-TA-916).

The investigation is based on an April 29, 2014 complaint and May 9, 2014 supplement to the complaint filed by Spansion LLC of Sunnyvale, California alleging violation of Section 337 in the importation into the U.S. and sale of certain non-volatile memory chips and products containing the same that infringe one or more claims of U.S. Patent Nos. 6,246,611; 6,744,666; 6,399,446; and 6,436,766.  See our May 1, 2014 post for more details on the complaint.
