FSA has levied its sixth fine for transaction reporting problems. This time, it fined the London branch of Société Générale £1,575,000 for failing to provide accurate transaction reports to the FSA, and for not having available all relevant reporting data. The fine was discounted by 30% as the firm co-operated fully with the investigation, agreed to settle early and has taken steps to address the concerns. Margaret Cole commented: "Firms and their management must ensure they submit quality transaction reporting data and we encourage all firms to review the integrity of this data on a regular basis."
