The UKBA announced on 10 November that the limit for tier 1 (general) applications has been met for November. As a result no more visas for successful tier 1 (general) applications will be issued until Wednesday 1 December 2010. The limit only applies to visa applications made overseas and not those made in the UK. It also does not apply to dependants.

Applications can continue to be made throughout November, although no new visas will be issued before December.

Currently the number of tier 1 (general) visas that can be issued in a calendar month by the UKBA is 600. Applications will be dealt with in date order.
