The Financial Stability Board has published a press release reporting on its meeting in Tokyo on 10 and 11 October 2012 at which the vulnerabilities currently affecting the global financial system were discussed.

The FSB has reviewed a number of reports to be published in the coming weeks ahead of the G20 finance ministers in November 2012, with particular focus on the following areas:

  • Addressing systemically important financial institutions (SIFIs);
  • Shadow banking;
  • Over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives reform;
  • Legal entity identifiers (LEI); and
  • Credit rating agencies (CRA).
