The National Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Eladio Loizaga has confirmed the approval of Paraguay’s incorporation into the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (“OECD”), which offers to the Republic of Paraguay an international leading position.

On Thursday January 26th 2017, the OECD Board’s Committee meeting approved the incorporation of Paraguay into this institution, according to the National Minister.

Founded during the sixties, the OECD gathers around several countries with the mission of promoting policies that improves people’s prosperity and social welfare, bringing a forum wherein governments can jointly work together in order to share experiences and seek solutions to the common challenges, measuring altogether productivity and global flow of trade and investment.

The incorporation of Paraguay into this institution absolutely represents a significant stamp of good practices and offers our country a meaningful image.
