FSA and CFTC have signed a new MoU on supervision of cross-border clearing organisations. The regulators have also agreed more measures of cooperation to help them identify risks posed by hedge funds, their managers and advisers. The regulators are working on sets of standardised data. They also discussed:

  • OTC derivatives markets and central clearing;
  • accounting issues;
  • regulatory reform;
  • CRA oversight;
  • short selling; and
  • corporate governance and compensation practices.
