Glass Lewis announced yesterday that it has opened enrollment for its 2017 Issuer Data Report (IDR) program. If you have had issues with the Glass Lewis recommendation in the past, you probably should sign up to Receive Your Free Issuer Data Report from GL. Apparently, Glass Lewis is only making the IDR service available to a limited number of companies “on a first-come, first-served basis,” so you should sign up as soon as possible.
Under the IDR service, a public company may access a data-only version of the Glass Lewis Proxy Paper on the company prior to Glass Lewis completing its analysis and proxy voting recommendations relating to the company’s annual meeting. Glass Lewis will only issue IDRs for companies that have released all proxy materials no less than 30 days before the shareholder meeting date. (FYI: Using the IDR, you will see references to “Meetyl,” which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Glass Lewis, not an insect.)
The enrollment period ends on January 6t, 2016, or as soon as Glass Lewis’ annual limit is reached. IDRs will only be issued for companies that have released all proxy materials no less than 30 days before the shareholder meeting date.
