On September 3rd, the SEC provided notice of the Chicago Board Options Exchange's proposal to amend Rule 24.9(a)(2), (Terms of Index Option Contracts), to allow the CBOE to list up to twelve expiration months for options that overlie broad-based security indexes for which options are used by the Exchange to calculate a volatility index.
