Insurance Europe has published an insight briefing detailing why it thinks the existing draft RTS for packaged retail and insurance-based investment products (PRIIPs) will mislead customers. Insurance Europe believes that if perceived design faults in the RTS are not corrected immediately, the draft key information documents (KIDs) would mislead consumers when comparing PRIIPs, particularly in relation to costs for insurance-based investment products. This briefing echoes Insurance Europe’s press release given earlier in April. (Source: Insurance Europe briefs on faults with PRIIPs KID RTS)
