The Commerce Commission (International Co-operation, and Fees) Bill seeks to authorise the Commerce Commission to assist and be assisted by equivalent overseas regulators. Its primary objective is to facilitate increased co-operation with equivalent overseas regulators, particularly the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. The Commerce Committee has examined the Bill and presented its report to Parliament on 22 November 2010, recommending that the Bill be passed with certain amendments.
