New research has revealed that nearly half of UK interviewers could be exposing themselves to legal problems by performing hasty interviews containing illegal questions, and rushing decisions to hire.

According to the Global Interviewing Practices and Perceptions study, 47% of global employers spent less than 30 minutes reviewing candidates' interview results before making a decision, and more than half of UK interviewers were unable to identify questions that could be age or sex discriminatory, and are therefore illegal.

Not only could such practices lead to discrimination claims, but employers also risk wasting time and money by hiring the wrong people.
