Yesterday Canada released its federal government budget. As part of the budget, over $240 million is allocated to carbon capture and storage technology in Saskatchewan. The funding will be matched by the province and industry. The budget will would also increase the capital cost allowance for carbon dioxide pipelines from 4 to 8 percent. Nuclear energy also receives a substantial funding package with $300 million in earmarks.
