At 4:30 p.m. on Thursday September 3, 2015, the Delaware Division of Corporations will close and will not reopen again until Tuesday, September 8th at 8:00 am. The closure will allow the Division of Corporations to convert to a new computer system that will offer improved products and services in the future.
Although the State of Delaware has planned this closure over a holiday weekend, it will not be open on Friday, September 4th for corporate entity or UCC filings. Additionally, no searches or retrievals may be performed during the four-day period. The Division of Corporations will allow filers of new business entities to request back-dated filing dates during the closure as long as the document is presented for filing before 11:59 p.m. on the business date requested. However, no UCC filings may be backdated.
If you are planning to form an entity in early September, file a UCC or perform any searches or retrievals, please do so before September 3rd.
