The Ministry of Justice has published quarterly court statistics for the period October to December 2011. Perhaps the most interesting statistic is that the number of warrants of possession issued and the number of repossessions of properties made by county court bailiffs have increased from the fourth quarter of 2010 by 7% and 16% respectively, which compares with an increase in the CML’s figure for properties taken into possession over the same period of 5%. See Ministry of Justice: Court Statistics Quarterly October to December 2011 and Justice: Court statistics (quarterly) (29 March 2012).
