• The ACCC authorised Cockatoo Coal and Stanmore Coal to collectively bargain with the Surat Basin Rail joint venture for access to its new rail line in Queensland for a 22 year period.  Once constructed, the Surat Basin Rail Line will connect coal mines in the Surat Basin region to an export supply chain for the first time.
  • The ACCC granted conditional interim authorisation to allow the Transport Workers Union to commence collective bargaining negotiations on behalf of concrete-truck owner-drivers contracted with Hanson in Queensland.
  • The ACCC authorised, for a 10 year period, the St Vincent’s Health Australia Group and St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney to engage in collective and joint activity such as information sharing, collective bargaining and agreements not to deal with particular third parties.
  • The ACCC issued a draft determination proposing to allow a number of banks and ATM deployers to provide fee free balances and withdrawals at selected existing ATMs in very remote Indigenous communities.
  • The ACCC granted interim authorisation allowing the South East Potato Growers Association and its members to give effect to contracts negotiated under the previous authorisation granted in 2007 and to potentially negotiate new contracts.
  • The ACCC granted conditional interim authorisation to Tabcorp Wagering Manager (Vic) Pty Ltd to give effect to agreements which govern participation in the SuperTAB pool.
