On 1 August 2011, the Association for Consultancy and Engineering and the Civil Engineering Contractors Association jointly issued the Infrastructure Conditions of Contract, a new suite of seven contracts. These are based on and replace the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Conditions of Contract, which were withdrawn in July after ICE terminated its sponsorship of the ICE contracts in order to exclusively promote its NEC3 contracts.

Amendments to NEC3 contracts

The Institution of Civil Engineers has published amendments to its NEC3 suite of contracts, effective from 1 October 2011. As with the new JCT editions discussed above, the amendments are designed to account for the recent changes the UK's Construction Act and the new procedure for payment. The amendments are available on NEC's website here.
