The Tourism Committee together with the Environment and Natural Resources Committee of the National Assembly, are currently working on a proposal for the creation of a legal framework to help regulate and promote the creative economy in the Nicaraguan tourismbusiness sector.

The creative economy covers visual and performing arts, tourism and historical heritage, artistic education and other cultural elements, generating business opportunities that can diversify regional markets.

The creation of a legal framework to help regulate and promote the creative economy in the Nicaraguan tourism-business sector seeks to enhance investment in a sustainable manner and with greater opportunities for technological and cultural innovation, as well as to promote the incorporation of the country's micro, small and medium-sized companies with this business line.

The proposal will contribute to the implementation of local and national development plans promoted by the State of Nicaragua as a mechanism to promote human, economic, cultural, gastronomic, tourism and environmental development throughout the country, allowing the inclusion of different types of investors that now a days have less participation and promoting business diversity.
