The ACMA and the TIO have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the purpose of which is to promote and facilitate cooperation and information sharing. The MOU sets out a framework for consultation arrangements between the ACMA and the TIO to assist the two agencies in performing their functions, including on non-compliance issues, dealing with telecommunications consumer complaints and for the provision of information and advice. The MOU also addresses permissible use of information provided and confidentiality issues.
