Senator Barbara Boxer plans to promote President-elect Barack Obama’s environmental goals on climate change in two bills she plans to introduce in the new Congress. The first will be President-elect Barack Obama’s $150 billion plan to curb climate change which seeks, in part, to authorize grants for technologies that promote efficiency or harness wind and solar energy. The second bill will be a scaled back version of her cap-and-trade bill that failed to get through the Senate last year.
