On 15 October the SFO announced that it was discontinuing its investigation of Robert Tchenguiz. The SFO Director announced that there was insufficient evidence to justify further investigation. This brings to an end the SFO's long running investigation into events surrounding the collapse of Kaupthing Bank. For more see here.

JD VIEW—Whilst this decision brings the curtain down on the SFO investigation, the SFO must still navigate around significant obstacles. Both Tchenguiz brothers have threatened to sue the agency for significant damages and if successful would bankrupt the SFO.
