Last Friday two regulations of the Council of Ministers regarding the auction scheme for 2017 were published in the Journal of Laws. They stated that the auctions announced by the President of the Energy Regulatory Authority in August were cancelled, and further auctions planned for 2017 under the regulation of the Council of Ministers of 20 March 2017 will also not take place.
The regulations entered into force on the day they were announced.
The nearest coming auction should have taken place on 2 October 2017. The regulations also cancelled the legal basis for the auction that took place on 28 September 2017.
There has been no official statement from the Government or the Ministry of Energy.
