On Tuesday, January 29th HTC Purenergy, an energy technology company focused on developing commercial-scale CCS technologies for EOR, announced its launch of the world's first modular, pre-engineered CO2 capture system. The Purenergy CCS 1000 is a pre-engineered, pre-built, stand-alone carbon capture system equipped to work at a variety of facilities including power plants, oil and gas processing facilities, and large industrial emitters generally. The system employs technology that has been tested for 12 years and will be capable of capturing 1000 tons per day of CO2. Because of its modular design, the system should also allow companies to employ capture technologies at a much lower cost than they would otherwise incur to construct a custom system on-site. More information is available on HTC Purenergy's website at www.htcenergy.com.
