In answer to several questions on the Bribery Act implementation, Kenneth Clarke confirmed he was working hard with the Ministry of Justice and key organisations to finalise and publish the "adequate procedures" guidance, and that, once it is published, the Act will take effect three months later. He said the Act would be implemented and there is pressure to implement it as soon as possible. He denied claims that there had been insufficient consultation on the Act before it was made.
