Global regulators report on use of colleges in conglomerates supervision: BIS, the International Organisation for Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) have published a report on their survey on the use of supervisory colleges for financial conglomerates and the implementation of the relevant set of Principles agreed by the global regulators. The survey has found that most of the respondent jurisdictions cater for the treatment of cross-sectoral issues in the meetings of conglomerates' supervisory colleges and have coordination arrangements in place among supervisors. On the other hand, the survey has also detected a lack of coordination mechanisms specific to periods of crisis. (Source: Report on Supervisory Colleges for Financial Conglomerates)
