The turnover of e-commerce in Spain increased in the third quarter of 2017 by 26.2% year-on-year to reach EUR 7,785 million, according to the latest e-commerce data available on the CNMCData portal (owned by the National Markets and Competitiveness Commission or (CNMC)).  

The sectors of activity with the highest revenues were travel agencies and tour operators, with 15.6% of total turnover, air transport, with 9.9% and clothing, in third place, with 5.1%. Looking at the number of transactions, more than 126 million transactions were recorded in the third quarter of 2017, an increase of 29.6%. Land transport of passengers leads the ranking in sales and purchases (6.8%).
