The Future of work - Diversity and inclusivity in the 21st Century

Harassment at work, mental health and wellbeing, the protection of transgender workers, equal pay and the gender pay gap – all are big 2018 HR headlines, but how can organisations encourage a diverse and inclusive workforce?

Equality and diversity can bring many organisational benefits: greater engagement in your workforce, improved organisational outcomes, and a stronger bottom line. However, while many organisations have embraced the concepts of equality, many have not yet figured out how to make their workplace more inclusive.

Join Boyes Turner's Employment Law Group for a conference which considers such high level and strategic HR topics as:

  • What are the legal risks and costs associated with key work-related issues including:
    • Harassment
    • Equal pay and the gender pay gap; and
    • Wellbeing and mental health
  • Transgender workers and how can we break down the barriers to employment
  • What are the benefits of encouraging workforce diversity?
  • What practical steps can organisations take to create a culture of inclusivity?

We are pleased to be joined at this Conference by two key note speakers:

  • Robin White, Barrister at Old Square Chambers, who will focus on how we tackle transgender discrimination in the workplace; and
  • Jaan Madan, Head of Client Experience, at Mental Health First Aid England, who will focus on increasing awareness of mental health issues within the workplace and focusing on encouraging inclusivity.
