Following the ECOFIN Conclusions of 4 December 2007 the Committee of European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Supervisors (CEIOPS) published a roadmap for 2008. The roadmap considered the ECOFIN Conclusions from CEIOPS’ perspective and outlined the specific commitments of CEIOPS’ Committees and Working Groups in seeking to fulfil the substance of the ECOFIN Conclusions.
CEIOPS has now published a report on convergence for 2008. CEIOPS reports that all the ECOFIN Conclusions affecting it have been either implemented or accommodated in its Work Programme for 2009.
The report has two parts:
- Part 1 describes CEIOPS’ main convergence related achievements of 2008, in response to the ECOFIN Conclusions.
- Part 2 summarizes the status of work undertaken by CEIOPS to implement the ECOFIN Conclusions.
