At the release event held last Friday in Waterloo, Ontario, for the federal government's “Digital Canada 150” strategy, Industry Minister James Moore confirmed that the government will table this week the “Digital Privacy Act.” The bill will update the current Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) “to protect Canadians online,” according to Minister Moore.
