The curtain covering Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy ("ARPA-E") was lifted, a bit, with the agency's release of it's first Funding Opportunity Announcement. As you'll recall ARPA-E was conceived in the America Competes Act in 2007 and funded with 400 million Stimulus dollars. The goal for ARPA-E is to encourage the development and deployment of generational-skipping energy technology by providing grants that range for $500,000 to $10,000,000.
