A new tariff has been announced for wind power projects in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The control period for this new tariff commences on 1 April 2016 and ends on 31 March 2019.
The Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (MPERC) has announced the new tariff for wind power projects in the state after consultations with relevant stakeholders. The control period for the previous tariff (i.e. INR 5.92 per unit) expired on 31 March 2016.
The new tariff is INR. 4.78 per unit and will be applicable for all projects that are commissioned from 1 April 2016 onwards for the sale of electricity to the state distribution licensees. The tariff will be applicable for the life of the project (i.e. 25 years) and is exclusive of all taxes as may be levied by the state government. The control period for this tariff expires on 31 March 2019.
